Judi and Roy Kaufman


Art of the Brain was founded by the late Judi Kaufman, who died September 21, 2015. An international community activist, artist, author, philanthropist and a brain-cancer survivor of 18 years, she was named one of the winners of the 10th annual Los Angeles Business Journal’s Women Making a Difference Award. Since 2000, the organization has raised more than $7 million for the UCLA Neuro-Oncology program. UCLA Neurologist Dr. Timothy Cloughesy continues to honor her wishes by conducting investigations focused on personalized treatment for brain cancer patients. Gifts to the The Spirit of Judi Kaufman Fund directly support brain cancer research projects led by Dr. Cloughesy.
