Amidst a pandemic, 2020 catalyzed a global conversation on anti-racism. Bruins, being positively different and passionately optimistic, have been, and will continue to be leaders on issues of diversity, equity and inclusion. This inaugural summit is an ode to this "changemaker" spirit. The UCLA Alumni Board of Directors and UCLA Alumni staff are inspired to create an alumni program to be a part of this much needed societal change. Different from current DEI career offerings, this summit will go past HR compliance and legal implications of "not" doing this work, and focus on making positive progress and impactful changes to address racial injustices in the workplace. This event is open to all UCLA alumni, staff and the UCLA community. In an effort to make this event accessible to all, UCLA Alumni would like to offer a "give what you can" option to attend this event. Friday, April 30 | 12 - 5 p.m. Saturday, May 1 | 11 – 4 p.m. Visit the Summit website for the program schedule, information about speakers and resources. Please register by Friday, April 23, 2021. Space is limited. For event and registration questions, please contact events@alumni.ucla.edu.
I would like to make an additional donation to The UCLA Alumni Association Support Fund.
