Melanie Ho UCLA alumna (BA ’01, MA ’05, PhD ‘ 08) currently living in DC recently published her book, Beyond Leaning In: Gender Equity and What Organizations are Up Against. All are welcome whether you will read the book or not. BEYOND LEANING IN is a business book, written as a novel, about the challenges that women face as they advance into leadership positions (it’s categorized as a “business book” but the lessons are relevant across sectors). She wrote it from the perspective of male and female characters, across multiple generations, with the hope that it sparks discussions across different groups around what can be emotionally-charged topics.
