Charitable Giving: UCLA Kidney Transplantation & Exchange Program


The UCLA Kidney Transplant Program, led by urologist Dr. H. Albin Gritsch and nephrologist Dr. Gabriel Danovitch, is one of the largest, most successful and highly respected programs in the country, with innovative resources that include the UCLA Kidney Exchange Program, directed by urologist Dr. Jeffrey Veale. The Kidney Exchange Program enables kidney transplant recipients who have willing but incompatible living donors to exchange kidneys with compatible donors. UCLA is one of the first in the country to offer kidney “donor exchanges.” Each charitable gift will help meet program needs, and will allow the UCLA Kidney Transplantation and Exchange Program team to continue their important work of healing humankind, one patient at a time.
